Rochester Christmas Lights Legacy Fund

In October 2023, Rochester High Street faced the prospect of no Christmas lights! On October 13th, a group of local businesses and individuals with a shared passion for celebrating Christmas, launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £5,000, and thanks to an amazing level of media coverage, raised £25,650 from 651 donors in just four days.

This success led to the creation of the Rochester Christmas Lights Legacy Fund (RCLLF), which has been able to provide new lights for the High Street - the first in over 20 years - and begin plans to upgrade all lighting over the next few years.

Every bauble buys a bulb…

Support the RCLLF by purchasing a handmade bauble, produced right here at Johnstone’s Tool Shop by the new generation’s head of the business, Bradley Johnstone. An RCLLF bauble will let all your visitors know you’ve supported the work of the fund - and provide a conversation piece too!

You can also buy our fundraising baubles and souvenir brochure, at these locations in the heart of Rochester:
